Glad You Asked…

What do we do during Family Groups?
As far as the specific makeup of a group meeting, that will be determined by the group
members. But, the basic format for a Family Groups consists of a time of fellowship, Bible
Study and prayer.

How often do groups meet?
Most groups will meet once a week from September through May with exceptions during the
holidays. Summers will be determined by the group. Many groups simply meet once or twice a
summer for a social gathering.

How long do groups last?
We recommend groups to last no longer than 1 and 1/2 hours on a night determined by the
group. We also recommend that group members make a commitment of 18 to 24 months
allowing for true group unity and bonding to take place.

Which group will I be a part of?
If there is a certain Family Group that you would like to be a part of then simply indicate that
on the form below or on the card in church. Otherwise, groups will be formed based on
geographical considerations as well as life-situation considerations (age, children, etc.).

Do I have to be a member of CCC to be a part of a Family Group?
Absolutely not! Family Groups are for all who are a part of CCC. Even those who are not a
part of CCC are welcome to join a group. In fact, groups are encouraged to invite and welcome
unchurched people into their groups.

What is the childcare arrangement?
We recommend that each group make arrangements for children to be cared for in a manner
that will not disturb the group time. The church will be glad to offer qualified names of high
school and college-age young ladies who will baby-sit for an appropriate fee to be paid by
group members.
